The basswood shutter is made from basswood that has been “cross-grain” laminated. This technology makes the basswood very stable and strong this allows panels to be made to a maximum panel width of 1050mm. This is a very wide perimeter for basswood, a lot of imported basswood shutters are of much less quality and do not have the technology thus cannot span this distance. Newport’s basswood shutter comes in 64mm, 90mm 114mm louvre. There are five standard shades of white and any standard Dulux Australia palette colours are available. Newport’s imported basswood plantation shutters come in traditional style with tilt control in the centre or the latest popular rear control style (sometimes referred to as concealed tilt control, or hidden tilt control). Available in all installation types, hinged, sliding, bi folding and fixed. A mid rail is required where panels are over 1800mm high. The paint finish on Newport basswood shutters is a polyurethane paint, made for Australian conditions.
Warranty is 10 years structural and 4 years on painted finish with a 6 – 8 week lead time.
